Heartland Events Center

The Heartland Events Center in Grand Island has been a hub for entertainment, sports and community gatherings in central Nebraska since opening in 2006. Built through a mix of public and private funding on the Fonner Park campus, the 180,000-square-foot facility is anchored by the 7,500-seat Eihusen Arena and complemented by the Bosselman Conference Center. Its versatile spaces have hosted everything from major concerts and sporting events to business conferences and trade shows, while also serving as a cornerstone venue for the Nebraska State Fair since 2010.
In 2024, the City of Grand Island assumed full ownership of the center and partnered with VenuWorks to manage operations, bringing renewed investment and a focus on enhancing the visitor experience. With a strong track record of attracting national acts, regional events and community celebrations, the Heartland Events Center remains a vital cultural and economic asset for Grand Island and the surrounding region.
LOVB Nebraska will be excited to call the Heartland Events Center home for one match in 2026, expanding professional volleyball beyond the Omaha metropolitan area and touching other prominent regions of the state.
