Volleyball is the most played girls’ sport in the US. Our women’s national team won Olympic gold, and our country deserves a full season professional league supported by a vibrant club and youth ecosystem.
League One Volleyball (LOVB, pronounced “love”) is a first-of-its-kind community re-imagining the future of volleyball. We are launching our professional league from the grassroots up – each pro team built from a foundation of ambitious junior volleyball clubs located across the country.
LOVB is the pursuit of the extraordinary.
LOVB champions every stage of an athlete’s journey: nurturing youthful passion into action, celebrating fierce and unbridled professional talent, and developing coaches to lead future generations.
LOVB for life.
By joining the LOVB family, junior volleyball clubs around the country expand opportunities for their athletes, including:
American volleyball players are Olympic gold medalists and the best in the world. Yet they do not have a full season professional league to call home in the US.
Every year, hundreds of post-college players leave America to play professional volleyball in other countries. They leave behind their families, teams, the communities they’ve proudly represented and the fans looking up to them for inspiration.
LOVB is changing the game. We are creating a new home for American professional volleyball built from the grassroots up. Each pro team building from an ever-growing nationwide community of vision-aligned junior clubs.
LOVB will begin to unveil the Pro league in 2022 with support from an Athletes Council representing current and former professional, national and Olympic team athletes. They are shaping all aspects of the league while focusing on the lifelong personal and professional development of the players. We are taking a thoughtful approach to building a sustainable pro league culminating in city-based team play across the country.
This is just the beginning. The future is LOVB.
Our team is made up of passionate volleyball, pro sports, business, and creative minds.
This isn’t just a sport.
This isn’t just a business.
And it’s so much more than the sum of those parts; we came together because we dreamed of creating a professional volleyball league that would headline a meaningful, lifelong community.
