Fourteen women honored by fans, athletes and coaches

After receiving more than 33,000 votes from across the globe, League One Volleyball is excited to announce the 14 women who have earned recognition from their fellow athletes, coaches, and most importantly, you the fans. This group includes both rising stars and elite veterans who have demonstrated exceptional performance throughout the season. Please join us in congratulating them for their accomplishments.

First Stage

Voters must vote for two (2) outside hitters, one (1) setter, one (1) opposite, one (1) libero and two (2) middles. Player selections will be determined by the consensus votes of fans, players and coaches, with fan votes counting as 50% of the vote, and player and coach groups each counting as 25% of the vote. Players and coaches will be able to complete one ballot.

Second Stage

After all votes are tallied, players will be ranked by position (within each of the three voting groups – fan votes, player votes and coach votes. Each player’s score will be calculated by averaging her weighted rank. The two outside hitters, one setter, one opposite, one libero and two middles with the best score will be named to the LOVB Icon First Team. The next two outside hitters, one setter, one opposite, one libero and two middles will be named to the LOVB Icon Second Team. Fan voting will serve as the tiebreaker for players in a position group with the same score.
