2026 September LOVB Coaches of the Month

Each month, League One Volleyball shines a spotlight on coaches whose leadership, dedication, and heart make a lasting difference within their clubs. September's LOVB Coaches of the Month show up when it counts, pour themselves into their programs, and build the kind of trust that turns a team into a community.

Whether it's stepping up without being asked, dedicating countless hours outside of practice, or taking a leap into new leadership roles, these coaches prove that great coaching is about far more than what happens between the lines. They inspire confidence, model integrity, and remind us why great coaching starts with caring for people first. Here's what their clubs had to say about the incredible impact they're making.

Marissa Stockman - Kokoro

“Without direction from Leadership, Marissa stepped forward and took action to provide an exemplary voice in the gym during our camp season. She observed those around her, listened to their needs and took action to ensure our community, both our athletes and coaches were cared for, led and provided opportunities for growth and development.”

Yanet Carrillo - Boomers

“Unwavering Dedication: She invests countless hours outside of regular practice to help every athlete and their families understand the culture of the club. She exemplifies sportsmanship, integrity, and personal growth over just winning games.”

Amber VandeHei - One Wisconsin

“Amber has been a ROCKSTAR in our gym. She has given so much of her time and shared her passions for coaching with everyone around her. Private lessons, camps and clinics, & more! This year she is stepping into an elite coaching role. At first she was hesitant but with a little encouragement she agreed. We are so excited she took the leap and are stoked for what she will accomplish with this group of athletes.”

Tammy Shotkoski - Colorado Juniors

“Coach Tammy deserves tremendous recognition for everything she does—not only for her teams, but for Club Colorado Juniors as a whole. Her commitment goes far beyond what happens on the volleyball court. She consistently pours her time, energy, knowledge, and passion into developing athletes, building confidence, and creating an environment where young women can grow both as players and as people.”

Ashton Short - Gainesville Jrs

“She has stepped up to lead all camps this summer. She invests so much time and energy into putting together the best plan so all athletes will grow and get better.”

Junior Roberts - Club V

“He has been in the gym all summer working hard to refine his craft as a coach, and working with our athletes to help them progress. He is kind, gracious, humble and hard working. Exactly the kind of coach we want in the gym.”
