LOVB Miami Announces 2027 Inaugural Season Schedule

Miami's one and only professional women's sports team kicks off its season on January 6th against LOVB Austin at the University of Miami’s Watsco Center

MIAMI, NOVEMBER 6, 2026, LOVB Miami today unveiled its inaugural 2027 season schedule, joining League One Volleyball (LOVB) teams in setting the stage for the new season of professional women's volleyball. Miami’s historic home opener is set for Wednesday, January 6, 2027, against LOVB Austin at the Watsco Center. The match will mark the first professional women's team match in Miami in nearly 30 years.

The inaugural season will bring world-class professional volleyball to Miami, connecting the city’s vibrant volleyball community with top international talent. LOVB Miami will play 11 regular season home matches, from January through early April 2027. The team’s home opener will be held on Wednesday, January 6th at 8:00 PM EST against LOVB Austin. Additional home matchups include a Tuesday, February 2nd meeting with the LA Orbit and the regular-season finale against LOVB Atlanta on Sunday, April 4, 2027.  Fans can view the complete 2027 season schedule, including all home and away matchups on their website.

Miami has a rich volleyball culture. The passion for the sport extends from indoor courts to sandy beaches and across the diverse communities that call this city home. The Watsco Center provides an opportunity to build on that foundation, bringing professional volleyball to a venue with deep ties to the Miami community.  

LOVB Miami will play its inaugural season’s home games at the Watsco Center, home to the University of Miami Hurricanes men’s and women’s basketball teams. Located across from the University Metrorail Station, the Watsco Center offers convenient access for fans, families, and University of Miami students. 

With its home venue and season schedule set, LOVB Miami has assembled a roster of talent from around the world. LOVB Miami’s roster features athletes from nine countries: Brazil, Mexico, Argentina, Japan, the Netherlands, Germany, the United States, Serbia, and Spain, reflecting the city’s multicultural identity. Through its connection with LOVB youth clubs across South Florida, the team will also engage young athletes, coaches, and families, strengthening the pathway from youth volleyball to the professional level.
