2026 June LOVB Athletes of the Month Presented by YETI

Each month, junior volleyball teams nationwide nominate players for the LOVB Athlete of the Month, where one LOVB Pro is also nominated and selected by fellow teammates and staff. These athletes are chosen based on our monthly Whole Athlete Training theme.

June’s theme, “Build Your Own Playbook” asked athletes to reflect on the season and how they wanted to end their last tournament. Building a playbook isn’t just for volleyball on the court, but is also about how to show up off the court: leading by example, supporting their teammates, staying true to themselves, and showing up consistently.

Congratulations to the June LOVB Athletes of the Month, presented by YETI. Read through their nominations and see them in action on @lovbclubs on Instagram and TikTok.

Ana Simanic - JJVA

Ana Simanic  - JJVA
Nominated by LOVB Clubs Staff

The way Ana approached the LOVB Clubs Junior Reporters program from the beginning perfectly exemplifies how to Build Your Own Playbook. Typically, the program features one athlete per club, but Ana had a vision of partnering with a teammate. Because of her enthusiasm, we wanted to support her idea and see their social media content come to life. The content between her and her teammate was some of the most fun and unique content in the program.

Bree Bobbitt - Skyline The Woodlands

Bree Bobbittt - Houston Skyline The Woodlands
Nominated by Kyla Crawford - Ignite Director & 12 Royal Head Coach

Bree exemplifies what it means to build your own playbook both on and off the court. She consistently follows through on her commitment to her team, leading by example through her strong work ethic, positive attitude, and team-first mentality. Bree is always encouraging and supportive of her teammates, helping create a positive environment for everyone around her.

No matter the circumstances, she shows up to every practice with a smile, ready to work hard and improve. Her dedication to getting better, combined with her willingness to put the team's success ahead of her own, makes her an outstanding teammate and role model. Bree's character, consistency, and commitment reflect exactly what it means to finish the season strong as an athlete, teammate, and person.

Maddie Steen	- Skyline The Woodlands

Maddie Steen -  Houston Skyline The Woodlands
Nominated by Kyla Crawford - Ignite Director & 12 Royal Head Coach

Maddie has stayed true to herself throughout the long club season by consistently bringing a positive attitude, strong work ethic, and competitive spirit to every practice and tournament. She remains focused on improving her skills, embracing challenges, and giving her best effort every day.

As we prepare for AAUs, Maddie continues to show up with energy, enthusiasm, and a determination to compete. She brings out the best in her teammates through her humor, encouragement, and positive presence, helping create an environment where everyone can succeed. Maddie is always ready to compete for every point and challenges those around her to elevate their game. Her commitment to growth, teamwork, and staying positive makes her an outstanding example of an athlete who finishes the season strong and builds her own path to success.

Ryker Vaughn - A5

Ryker Vaughn  - A5
Nominated by LOVB Clubs Staff

Ryker returned to our LOVB Clubs Junior Reporters for a second year. It's been incredible to watch her growth, not only her presence and confidence on social media, but also her growth as a teammate and volleyball player. She is always one of the first to complete the Junior Reporter assignments, as well respond to feedback and make those adjustments. What we've seen through her content, at just 12 years old, she already has a natural ability to bring out the best in the people around her.

Vicky Urizar - Boomers

Victoria Urizar - Boomers Volleyball Club
Nominated by LOVB Clubs Staff

Vicky has been an absolute rockstar as a LOVB Clubs Junior Reporter. She is building her own playbook in the world of volleyball and I have no doubt that she will find success in whatever she pursues. Vicky uses her platform to positively represent her high school team, Boomers Volleyball Club, the U21 Venezuelan team, and LOVB with pride and joy. She consistently leads by example and reflects the values of our community in everything she does.
