January’s LOVB Coaches of the Month honorees exemplify what it means to serve others by leading with empathy, commitment, and an unwavering belief in the power of volleyball to shape lives.

From developing young athletes at the foundational level to mentoring coaches and building meaningful connections behind the scenes, these leaders show that the true impact of coaching extends far beyond wins and losses. Meet the coaches who are making a difference across the country and setting the standard for what it means to lead with heart.

Allison Clausel - Memphis Juniors Volleyball Association
“Allison has played a major role in strengthening our program by creating impactful programming that brought new athletes into our gym. She cares deeply about our players and families, and her commitment to the LOVB community is evident in everything she does. During a difficult personal time, she stepped in without hesitation to support the team, showing the kind of selflessness and heart that makes our program better because of her.”

Alyssa Schneck - Maverick Volleyball
“Alyssa is a Maverick alum who returned to coach with us this year and has already made a huge impact. She consistently goes above and beyond for her athletes and fellow coaches, actively seeking out our Master Coaches to grow and improve. Always willing to lend a hand, Alyssa truly lives out the LOVB and Maverick core values and is a great role model for the athletes in our gym.”

Andy Fox - Atlanta Extreme
“Andy’s passion for the game, commitment to our club, and belief in what we are building are truly inspiring. He consistently puts the needs of our athletes, coaches, and community above his own, leading with humility, service, and an unmatched work ethic. Whether mentoring staff, supporting the facility, or developing athletes, Andy embodies what LOVB stands for—and our community is better because of him.”

Bethany Bentz - Elite Volleyball Training Center
“Bethany’s passion for teaching volleyball and her genuine love for kids are evident in everything she does. As a longtime 14s coach and special education teacher, she focuses on building strong foundations and impacting athletes far beyond the court. Bethany is deeply committed to growing the game and creating opportunities for athletes of all experience levels, and her ability to connect with and develop young players truly reflects everything LOVB stands for.”

Jen Wells - KC Power
“Jen is a veteran coach who consistently invests in building strong relationships with athletes and families. Always willing to help any team or coach in need, she brings her experience as a teacher and coach to create trust, connection, and growth both on and off the court. Jen is a tremendous asset to KC Power and LOVB, ensuring every athlete feels valued while pushing them to be their best.”

Michael Linderman - GA Beach
“In just one year, Michael has made an extraordinary impact on our club and athletes. He is a true staple of our program, consistently building meaningful connections and showing genuine care for each athlete. From remembering the small details to leading by example on and off the court, he does so much behind the scenes to support our athletes—and our club is better because of him."

Sidney King - G3 Volleyball Academy
“Sidney’s hard work and passion have been instrumental to G3 Volleyball Academy, especially in our inaugural year. She coaches multiple teams while mentoring new coaches, always willing to collaborate and support others for the betterment of the entire club. Her commitment to pouring into players and helping those around her grow makes her an invaluable member of the G3 and LOVB community."

Sonny Thor - Kokoro Volleyball Club
“Coach Sonny consistently steps up wherever help is needed because he truly values the athlete experience. Whether subbing, supporting MCM, or taking care of things behind the scenes, his selflessness and genuine care are evident in every action. LOVB and Kokoro are better because Sonny embodies commitment, character, and a deep dedication to our athletes.”
