LOVB Minnesota Announces Treasure Island Resort & Casino as Founding Partner, Front-of-Jersey Partner

LOVB Minnesota today announced Treasure Island Resort & Casino, owned and operated by the Prairie Island Indian Community, as a Founding Partner. As part of the partnership, Treasure Island will become the exclusive casino partner of LOVB Minnesota and will be featured prominently on the front of the team’s jersey.

The partnership brings together two organizations committed to the growth of women’s sports. As volleyball continues to grow rapidly across the state, the partnership gives Treasure Island a platform to connect with an engaged audience while supporting the arrival of professional women’s volleyball in Minnesota.

“We’re thrilled to welcome Treasure Island as an Official Founding Partner and our Exclusive Casino Partner,” said April Ehrman, President of LOVB Minnesota. “Treasure Island's deep roots in sports and community make them an ideal partner as we bring LOVB to Minnesota. Together, we're excited to create meaningful experiences for our fans and communities.”

“The Prairie Island Indian Community has a long history of supporting women’s sports through our Treasure Island Resort & Casino partnerships, and we’re thrilled to add League One Volleyball’s new LOVB Minnesota team to that roster,” said Grant Johnson, President, Prairie Island Indian Community Tribal Council. “We’re excited for the inaugural season, and for the opportunities this new team will offer women pursuing a career in professional volleyball.”

Treasure Island’s partnership with LOVB Minnesota builds on its longstanding involvement in professional and collegiate sports, including current partnerships with the Minnesota Twins, Minnesota Timberwolves and Lynx, St. Paul Saints and Gopher Sports Properties.

The partnership will bring Treasure Island to LOVB Minnesota’s front-of-jersey, in-venue, digital and social platforms, along with fan engagement and community initiatives such as a Dakota Heritage Night, which is a match day takeover that gives the Prairie Island Indian Community an opportunity to share and celebrate their culture as well as youth volleyball activations on the Prairie Island Reservation. Through its Island Impact corporate social responsibility program, Treasure Island will also support opportunities to make a positive impact in the communities LOVB Minnesota serves.
