We’re excited to officially welcome Evansville United Volleyball Academy as the newest club to join the LOVB community! Founded in 2013 and based in Evansville, IN, the club has been a driving force in growing the sport of volleyball throughout the region.
At Evansville United, development is the cornerstone of everything they do. The academy prides itself on creating a positive, athlete-first environment where players are encouraged to grow through hard work, resilience, and a love for the game.
“At Evansville United Volleyball Academy, we are deeply committed to the development of all our athletes - we believe that growth should never be sacrificed in the pursuit of winning,” said Club Co-Owner Michelle Nogueras. “From the start of the travel season to the final match, our focus is on creating a positive environment where athletes can grow, develop, and reach their full potential.”
Evansville United’s mission aligns perfectly with LOVB’s goal to elevate volleyball at every level - from youth to pro. By joining the LOVB ecosystem, the club gains new resources to support their coaches and athletes, while opening up opportunities for meaningful connections with LOVB’s professional players and programs.
“As former professional athletes ourselves, we are proud to support the LOVB community and the launch of professional volleyball in the United States,” said Michelle. “We firmly believe that the connections our athletes will build with LOVB’s professional players and LOVB athletes will be meaningful and mutually beneficial. By joining LOVB, our athletes will gain the opportunity to look up to these professionals as role models, helping to foster a culture of inspiration, aspiration, and excellence.”
Evansville United will continue expanding youth participation in volleyball while strengthening the pathways and opportunities for athletes to compete at the collegiate level and beyond. We are so lucky to have them!
