LOVB Nebraska Adds Brazilian Libero Keyt Alves to 2026-27 Roster

South American club champion joins Nebraska ahead of the team’s third season

OMAHA, Neb. – LOVB Nebraska has added Brazilian libero Keyt Alves to its 2026-27 roster, bringing another championship-winning defender to the team ahead of its third professional season.

A native of Bauru, São Paulo, Alves spent the past six years playing in Brazil. She made her top-division Superliga debut with Sesi Vôlei Bauru in 2024-25 and helped the club win the 2026 South American Club Championship and the 2025-26 Paulista Championship. Earlier in her career, she helped Abel/Moda Brusque capture the 2021-22 Superliga C title.

"Keyt has competed and won in a strong volleyball environment in Brazil," said Kirsten Bernthal Booth, President of Business Operations for LOVB Nebraska. "She brings experience, energy and another option in the backcourt. We're excited to welcome her to Nebraska and see what she adds to this group."

Alves joins a roster that includes returning libero Lexi Rodriguez. LOVB Nebraska announced its initial 2026-27 roster in July, featuring four Olympians, two Olympic medalists and four Nebraska natives.

LOVB Nebraska opens its season against two-time defending LOVB Pro champion LOVB Austin on Wednesday, Dec. 16, at Frost Bank Center in San Antonio. The match is part of LOVB First Serve, held during NCAA Division I Women's Volleyball Championship Week.

Season memberships for LOVB Nebraska's 2026-27 home schedule are available now, with season-ticket deposits increasing 41% in the period following the team’s roster announcement, bringing deposits to their highest level in team history.
