An opposite hitter from Greenbrae, California, Kari played collegiately at Loyola Marymount and Oklahoma, earning AVCA Honorable Mention All-American honors in 2022 and five All-Conference honors across her career. In her first year as a professional, she played in South Korea's V.League with Suwon Hyundai E&C Hillstate.
