Not at all. Many participants are trying volleyball for the very first time. Our coaches create a welcoming environment where everyone can learn, improve, and have fun.
No. Volley in the Park is completely free to participate.
Yes. Registration helps us plan for attendance and ensures every participant has completed the required waiver before taking part in the program.
If space is available, yes. However, we recommend registering in advance to reserve your spot and complete your waiver before arriving.
Wear comfortable athletic clothing and athletic shoes, and bring water and sunscreen. We'll provide the volleyballs and equipment needed for play.
No. We provide volleyballs and the equipment needed for each session.
No problem! Most participants register individually. Our coaches will organize groups and activities so everyone has an opportunity to play.
It depends on the session. Some are focused on learning and recreation, while others include more game play. Check your local event description for details.
Yes. Volley in the Park is a program of the LOVB Foundation, a partner company of LOVB Clubs and LOVB Pro. While many sessions are led by experienced coaches, participation is open to everyone and does not require membership with a LOVB club or any other volleyball organization.
Participant safety is our top priority. If severe weather makes play unsafe, registered participants will be notified of cancellations or schedule changes.
Yes. Our coaches are there to facilitate volleyball activities, but they are not responsible for supervising children outside of the program. Parents or guardians are expected to remain onsite during the session.
Yes! Many locations offer sessions for adults, families, and mixed-age community play. Check your local schedule for available programs.

Absolutely! Volley in the Park was created to be a welcoming first experience where anyone can learn, play, connect with others, and have fun.
Yes! During registration, you'll have the opportunity to add multiple children. Simply indicate how many children you're registering and provide each child's age. Adults must each register individually.
Yes you can register and join as many Volley in the Park events as you wish, and please ask your friends to register and join you. Everyone is welcome.
Parking varies by park. Please check with your local park info page or message your local park captain on your location’s page. We always encourage bike riding to the park if available
Depends on your park. Please check with your local park captain. But dogs are not allowed on the court!
If an event is fully booked we will highlight this on the Volley in the Park registration page, and you can choose any other events to join.
