2026 October LOVB Coaches of the Month

Some of the most meaningful work in a club happens far from the spotlight. It’s the coach who fills in wherever they’re needed, supports fellow coaches, and treats no task as too big or too small. This month, we’re recognizing coaches who lead by serving.

October’s LOVB Coaches of the Month have built facilities, run fall leagues, packed summers with camps and clinics, welcomed our youngest athletes into the game, and helped train the next wave of coaches. They step into new roles without missing a beat, keep learning so their athletes can keep growing, and lead without ego every step of the way. Their commitment to community and collaboration is the kind that makes an entire club better.

Here’s what their clubs had to say about the impact they’re making.

Ashley Marsaa - Lexington United
Ashely has run our fall league with over 150 athletes continuing to build the LUV community. She has also been helping develop and train our new coaches for the club season. Ashley has gone above and beyond for Lexington United and our players, demonstrating the true spirit of community, collaboration and hard work. She has dedicated her time this summer to supporting the continued growth of Lexington United and helping our players develop both on and off the court. Through her commitment, teamwork, and willingness to invest in others, Ashley has strengthened our program and helped create a community where athletes feel supported, encouraged, and inspired to reach their full potential

Cadi Boyer-Rawl - Core 3 Volleyball
Even while serving as an assistant coach last season, Cadi consistently demonstrated that she could step confidently into a head-coaching role when needed. Whenever the head coach was away coaching another team, she ensured the team did not miss a beat. She transitioned seamlessly between roles—providing exceptional support as an assistant when the head coach was present, then taking charge with confidence and consistency when he was absent. Cadi and the head coach worked exceptionally well as a coaching team, creating a smooth, unified experience for the players. The team responded positively to her leadership and had no difficulty following her direction when she led or transitioning back to the head coach when he returned.

Cindy Prices - 1United Volleyball
Cindy demonstrates Collaboration and Community through her commitment to our Fun1/Next1s program and our club clinics. She consistently works alongside other coaches to create a positive and welcoming environment for our youngest athletes, while also building individual connections with each player. She is always willing to step in wherever needed, support fellow coaches, and help create a sense of community for both our athletes and families. Her ability to work as part of a team while making every child feel valued is a great example of our values in action.

Michael Sims - Houston Skyline
Michael is constantly in our gym pouring into kids! He works a ton of our camps, clinics & leagues and this summer - he was a huge gym rat. He was so helpful, encouraging, and created a great environment for kids to learn about volleyball.

Philip Bennett - Stars Carolina
Coach Philip is one of the best servant leaders I’ve ever been around. He simply serves and does. No task is too big or too small for him. He was hired as our facilities director this spring after basically building our beach complex by himself. It was one of the very best hires we have ever made. He has routinely coached multiple teams and fills in whenever and wherever is needed. We are significantly better as a club with Coach Philip.

Samantha Grams - Chi City Volleyball
Sam consistently goes above and beyond to make Chi City the best possible experience for our athletes. She is our go-to resource for performance enhancement, injury support, mindset training, and just about anything else we ask of her. No matter the need, she is always willing to jump in and take it on without hesitation. An avid learner, Sam dedicates countless hours to continued education through the LOVB ecosystem. She applies that knowledge to strengthen our curriculum and ensure our athletes are training at the highest level—with purpose, proper mechanics, and long-term development at the center of everything we do. Sam will coach any age group or level and step in wherever she is needed. She genuinely loves being in the gym and investing in our athletes. She leads without ego, never complains, and fully embodies the culture we are building at Chi City. Our athletes, coaches, and entire community are better because of her.
