An outside hitter from Savage, Minnesota, Julia joins LOVB Nebraska after a four-year career at the University of Minnesota, starting all 65 matches her junior and senior years. In 2025, she was named an AVCA Second Team All-American, the first Gopher to make an All-America team since 2022. She was also named the AVCA Northwest Region Player of the Year and was a unanimous First Team All-Big Ten Selection for the second year in a row. Julia eclipsed the 1,000 career kill mark during her senior campaign, finishing with 1,041 kills, 943 of those coming in her final two seasons. In 2019, Julia trained with USA Volleyball.
